I feel like I’ve neglected my blog for so long. Since I started the 2 week run up to my new collection’s lookbook shoot, I didn’t have time for anything else and I went into focus overdrive. SO, I decided to cram 7 days into one blog post because I’ve had a bit of an insane week. Not in a bad way though, I love being busy and I try to be a ‘yes man’ and never turn opportunities down.
So, Monday was the Sanctus SS13 lookbook shoot. I’d been sewing day and night in the run up, and caught a 6:47am train so needless to say I was exhausted and anxious about how it would go, but I had a WONDERFUL team with me.
Tuesday and Wednesday I spent sorting all the stock photography and product listings for the new collection, and took my darling Moggy to the vet. Turns out he has a heart murmur which I was so sad to hear… He’s 14 but I’ve not long inherited him and I’m so not ready for my studio pal to leave me yet.
Thursday I attended a casting for ZDDZ‘s collection showcase to take place the following night at Wolf and Badger. Everything went well after meeting Dasha the designer, and on Friday night I spent the evening alongside 3 beautiful models in ZDDZ’s new collection. All of which were agency represented may I add… I felt kinda funny standing next to them about an inch shorter with my nose ring and lilac wash hair…
We basically got to mingle, eat cupcakes and dance around for the evening. Nice.
Friday was the launch of Adramelech, my SS13 collection and I was so happy with my lookbook images. I’ve had a wonderful response from the collection so far and only 4 days on I’ve had some amazing opportunities put my way since the launch.
Saturday I spent celebrating my Grandparent’s 50th anniversary in Southend. I came home via Cambridge on Sunday and had sushi for lunch, and my first ever proper Hong Kong style Boba Tea. I’m hooked, so I picked up some tapioca pearls and special giant straws from the Chinese supermarket so I can make some at home.
Then this was today. I hit Cambridge again to meet up with the guys behind As-a-Button Productions to discuss a possible film making venture with Sanctus…
I don’t usually make my blog posts so personal and detailed but I wanted to document my super intense week. I hope you enjoyed getting a little insight in what I get up to!
