I’ve not written a blog post in a long time, wow. Maybe that’ll give you an idea of how busy it’s been at Sanctus HQ – not that I’m complaining. I feel so privileged that the Summer mini-collection was received so positively, and that my days have been filled with cutting and sewing orders for people around the world who want to wear Sanctus. I honestly can’t describe the feeling! It’s been a VERY long time coming but in the next few months I’ll be making plans for the big move to a London studio – you may know that at the moment I operate out of a little town in Cambridgeshire but it really is beginning to feel like ‘it’s time’ to take the plunge soon. Terrifying and amazing…
Anyway, I modelled for an editorial for a new magazine called Be Exposed a few months back – it was an incredible day and I got to work with some truely exceptional people. I’ve honestly been on the edge of my seat waiting for the photos – one reason being that I was posing with another model and I don’t often get the chance to do that so dynamically. Although the final photos ended up being quite statically posed, we were jumping around and flailing about all day haha. Ashton from AMCK was so lovely to work with and I couldn’t believe it when he told me he’s just 17… Firstly it made me feel pretty old to be in the ‘modelling game’ but secondly it was so good seeing someone doing so well and so young. He’s gunna be big.
They transformed me into a sort of pastel alien…
Pastel martians chatting in between shots.
I learnt to look at the space inbetween someone’s eyebrows when directed to ‘look into eachother’s eyes’ (which was quite often) to avoid fits of giggles…
I <3 wind machines.
At the time of shooting this I found it hilarious that someone so anti-exercise (me) was wearing these amazing Nike trainers, which were like walking on air… Funnily enough, 3 months later I’ve finally broken my 5 year exercise resistance and started running although I don’t have any sweet Nike’s to run in. Just my Marvel Bathing Ape’s which is pretty funny.
